MASL is offering league play for boys teams U09 through U14 and girls teams U09 through U19 beginning in September 2010.  NEW THIS YEAR: SEPARATE 8 V 8 LEAGUE FOR TEAMS U09 THROUGH U12.  Registration for all leagues opens June 14, 2010.

MASL League - Junior teams
Girls and boys teams U12 through U14 play 11 v 11 on full size fields.  8 to 10 games will be scheduled on Sunday afternoons September 12, 2010 and ending November 21, 2010.  The winners and second place finishers in each division will receive trophies.

MASL Senior Girls League
Girls teams U15 through U19 play an abbreviated, state cup qualifying league with games to be scheduled on a cooperative and flexible basis, primarily on Sunday afternoons.  There will be a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 games played between September 12, 2010 and ending November 21, 2010.  This league is designed to provide qualifying league play for teams that prefer to play several games in one weekend, rather than one game each week.

New 8 v 8 League
Girls and Boys Teams U09 through U12 play in an 8 v 8 format on downsized fields in accordance with USYS recommendations.  This is new league designed to meet the needs and enhance the development of younger players.  8 to 10 games will be scheduled on Sunday afternoons September 12, 2010 and ending November 21, 2010.  All U09 and U10 players will received participation awards.  Scores and standings for these divisions will be kept but will not be published.  Scores and standings for U11 and U12 divisions will be published and the first and second place teams in these divisions will receive trophies.

Fees
League fee: $250 per team.
Performance bond: (refundable): $200 per team ($100 when clubs enter and pay for 3 or more teams).
          Note: in order to receive the discount, the club must pay all fees for all teams and designate a club 
                     official to whom the bond refund is returned.  Before sending payment, make sure if there 
                     are two other teams in your club registering.

Deadlines
Registration deadline July 31, 2010
            In order to be accepted, registrations must be complete with all information requested including a 
            second contact whose phone number and email address are different from those of the head coach.

Payment in full due August 15, 2010

Rosters due September 1, 2010
            Teams must be registered with USYS through their home state Youth Soccer
            Association.  Rosters must be copies of the official state, stamped rosters and all
            players must have USYS player passes.

New Girls High School Team Friendlies
MASL has been requested to organize friendly games for girls high school teams that do not play school soccer in the fall.  Issues concerning fees, insurance, team and player registration are still to be worked out.  If you are interested in having your team participate please email the administrator maslde@verizon.net.
